Taking a different approach to the Spanish tradition, Colin Davin explores not simply the classic sounds of Andalusian, flamenco-inspired guitar music, but rather the diverse spectrum of regional and global influences in Spanish music. Music by composers including Antonio José, Manuel de Falla, Joaquin Turina, and Federico Mompou fully embrace the cosmopolitan spirit of 19th and 20th century Spanish guitar music.
"Mr. Davin...built to an exciting intensity that brought to mind the vigorous foot stamping of flamenco...impossible to forget" (Voce di Meche)
"Davin brought the 2016 festival to a marvelous conclusion with a performance that again displayed the guitarist's brilliant technique and musical elegance" (Cleveland Classical)
