Known for his engaging stage presence, Mr. Davin has performed for audiences at venues across the United States, including recent appearances in Austin, TX; Portland, OR; Los Angeles, California; Cleveland, Ohio; and Paris, France.  His devotion to the expansion of the guitar’s repertoire is evidenced by his performances of world premieres by several composers for solo guitar, guitar quartet, guitar and voice duo, and guitar and percussion duo. In addition to his acclaim as a guitarist, Colin has displayed impressive musical diversity, having performed in concert and film music settings on mandolin, oud, and banjo. Most recently, he toured France and Spain as banjoist with the New World Symphony and the Opéra Comique of Paris in a production of Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess.  Another notable performance featured Mr. Davin on mandolin with the Aspen Festival Orchestra, directed by James Conlon in a performance of Alexander von Zemlinsky’s Eine Florentinische Tragodie. Mr. Davin counts among his primary teachers such world-renowned artists as Jason Vieaux, Sharon Isbin, and Pepe Romero.  He holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Southern California Thornton School of Music, where he studied with Los Angeles Guitar Quartet member William Kanengiser. He will begin graduate studies this year at The Juilliard School under the direction of renowned Grammy winning guitarist, Sharon Isbin.
